EU database registration
Article 49 requires providers (and certain deployers) of high-risk AI systems to register the system in a public EU database before it is placed on the market or put into service.
The database improves transparency and market surveillance across the Union. Registration is a precondition to lawfully placing most Annex III high-risk systems on the market.
