Refund Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

We want you to be satisfied with Conformly. This policy sets out exactly when you can get your money back, how to ask, and what happens next. It applies to every purchase of the Conformly Service and forms part of our Terms of Service.

Outside these windows, payments are non-refundable, except where the law gives you a right to a refund or where we agree otherwise at our discretion.

2. Paddle processes every refund

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd, which is the merchant of record for all our orders. That means Paddle took the payment, and Paddle issues the refund.

  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method. We cannot send a refund to a different card, account or person.
  • The refund includes any sales tax or VAT Paddle collected on the order.
  • Timing: Paddle usually processes an approved refund within 1–3 business days, and your bank or card issuer typically takes a further 3–10 business days to show it. Currency conversion differences and bank fees are outside our control.
  • You will receive a credit note or refund confirmation from Paddle.

3. New subscriptions — 14-day money-back guarantee

If you buy a Starter or Growth subscription and it is not right for you, tell us within 14 days of the first payment and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason, and you may use the Service normally during those 14 days — trying it out is the point of the guarantee.

The guarantee applies once per organisation per plan. It covers the first payment of a new subscription, not later renewals (section 5).

4. One-time Compliance Report ($390) — read before you buy

The $390 Compliance Report is a digital product produced on demand. Because it is generated specifically for the AI system you describe and delivered immediately:

  • Before the report is generated: you can cancel for a full refund, any time within 14 days of payment. Just ask.
  • Once the report has been generated and made available to you (in-app or as a PDF/download), the work has been performed and the report is non-refundable. By starting generation you ask us to begin performance immediately and acknowledge that you lose any cooling-off right that would otherwise apply to the completed report.
  • Exception — something went wrong: if the report fails to generate, is materially incomplete, or is wrong because of a defect on our side (not because of incorrect inputs), tell us within 14 days of delivery. We will fix or regenerate it; if we cannot put it right, we will refund it in full.

The free risk checker at https://getconformly.com/check needs no account and no payment — please use it first to see the classification approach before you buy.

5. Renewals and annual plans

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each term, at your locked-in price.

  • Renewal reminder: Paddle emails you before an automatic renewal so a renewal is never a surprise.
  • Refund on renewal: if you did not intend to renew, contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge and, provided you have not used the Service in the new term, we will refund the renewal in full.
  • Mid-term cancellation: you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid term. We do not pro-rate refunds for the unused remainder of a term outside the windows above.
  • Downgrades: take effect at the next renewal; we do not refund the price difference mid-term.
  • Upgrades: charged pro-rata by Paddle for the remainder of your term.

6. How to cancel

Cancel in the app under Settings → Subscription, or use the "manage subscription" / cancel link in any Paddle invoice or renewal email. You can also email support@getconformly.com and we will cancel it for you.

Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not, by itself, refund a payment already taken — request a refund as described below. Your data stays exportable until the end of the term; see the Privacy Policy for what happens afterwards.

7. How to request a refund

Two routes, both fine:

  1. Contact us — email support@getconformly.com from the address on your account, with your order or invoice number (it is on your Paddle receipt) and one line on what happened. We reply within 2 business days and, where the request meets this policy, approve it with Paddle immediately.
  2. Contact Paddle directly — as merchant of record, Paddle can handle the request at paddle.net using the email address you paid with, or via Paddle buyer support.

If we ever decline a request, we will tell you plainly which part of this policy applies and why.

8. Chargebacks

If something looks wrong on your statement, please talk to us first — a refund is faster than a chargeback and we would rather fix the problem. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may lead to the account being suspended by Paddle while the dispute is investigated.

9. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have by law, including any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Conformly is sold to businesses; where a statutory right conflicts with this policy, the statutory right prevails.
